Environment

Can Costals is located in the municipality of Pals, in the Baix Empordà region and on the magnificent Costa Brava (a short distance from the Montgrí Natural Park, the Medes Islands and the Baix Ter). Here you will find from routes through the forest, visits to natural parks, routes through medieval towns, endless beaches and hidden coves, coastal paths and restaurants with typical dishes from the area.

Pals, surrounded by nature, presents us with an idyllic landscape full of contrasts, light and color. Any time of the year is perfect for its sunsets, the flowered fields, the colors of the sea…

Beaches with dunes, rice fields, a natural park and a town with a lot of medieval charm

The town of Pals is located between the Gavarres and the Montgrí mountains, surrounded by rice fields and its beaches with dunes touching the sea.

Near the beach, you can visit Les Basses d’en Coll, Nature Reserve and take routes through the area, both on foot and by bicycle.

Visiting the old town is like a trip to the medieval past, the walled enclosure, its narrow cobbled streets, the arches and old houses, the Gothic Church and the Romanesque tower are a must.

Among the gastronomy of Pals, the star dishes cooked with rice cannot be missing. Although you will also find dishes cooked with local products and a very wide gastronomic offer for all tastes.

Pals is attached to the Cittaslow movement.

Being a slow municipality goes beyond being a quiet municipality. It implies having internalized a series of intangible features based on a philosophy that permeates all corners of the territory; It implies a peculiar way of seeing and living life in favor of the residents of Pals who fight to preserve, day after day, the landscape, the most deeply rooted customs and traditions, the native gastronomy, the local products… without barring the way to progress or new technologies.
